Statistics demonstrate that people will travel
regardless of economical conditions. Though they may decide to travel,
they want to find their best economic solution. In an attempt to keep
cost to a minimum, many travel consumers have turned to a Travel Company
to book their next vacation. What awaits them is not only an economic
way to vacation but also a wonderfully orchestrated travelling
experience.
Within the last decade, the Travel Company’s
popularity has increased substantially. Travel Companies offer their
customers many services that a traditional travel agency can not, and at
a rate that can not be beat. They can put together a large variety of
package deals. For example, they can take you sightseeing in large or
small groups, access areas that are not easy to get to, and find
information about the travel destination that is not widely known. They
take the hassle out of the travel since they do all the bookings.
Travel Companies are like large travel industries. A
Travel Company consists of many different brands. A good example is
First Choice Canada which is one of Canada’s leading Travel Companies.
It owns several well known brands which include Signature Vacations,
Travel Choice Travel Agencies, and SellOffVacations.com. However, First
Choice Canada is also owned by TUI Travel PLC out of Europe. All the
smaller companies come together and build their strength in their
diversity.
But like anything there are those Travel Companies
that are decent and those that are dreadful.
Some Travel Companies have a mandate or mission and will focus their
work on meeting that mission. This allows for a motivation beyond making
a profit which; for the customer, is a good thing. For example, some
will establish a mandate to cater to religious organizations, or
humanitarian travel, or adventure travel. These Travel Companies will
often have the reputation for excellent customer service. Comments like;
“their Travel Associates are considerate, respectful, and allow for
individual needs,” are not uncommon. The focused, mission oriented
Travel Companies will often have a better reputation which means their
customers are happy.
So how does a Travel Company do it? How can they put
together wonderful, all inclusive Travel Packages that have such good
prices? Why can’t an independent Travel agent do it?
Travel Companies will buy and maintain special
contracts with Airline Companies, Cruise Liner Companies, Hotels,
Restaurants, and Resorts. They will also buy in bulk and this allows the
Travel Company to offer discount fares, and package deals that an
independent agent could not. For the travel costumer this means an all
inclusive travel experience with fixed prices at the lowest cost.
Furthermore, a Travel Company will function around the clock seven days
a week, which is very agreeable to the busy consumer.
Finally, when you are working with a Travel Company
Associate, you should remember you are not dealing with a Travel Agent,
so you can not expect the same expertise that an Agent would be able to
share. But possibly the great rate will be of some consolation. |
